Benjamin Gill brings a unique combination of private sector success and broad Alberta roots to his candidacy for Northern Director. As a former Director of Commercial Banking for ATB Financial and now Head of Corporate Development at the Fort McMurray based Northland Group of Companies, Benjamin has helped create and sustain real jobs and economic growth both in our region and beyond.

Through his work with the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce and Wood Buffalo Pro-Business Advisory Committee, Benjamin has consistently fought against red tape and regulatory overreach. He advocates for common-sense policies that let our resource sector thrive, our small businesses grow, and our families prosper without interference from distant bureaucrats.

As Treasurer for the McKay Métis Group, Benjamin champions Indigenous economic self-determination through capacity building and business development aligning with his belief that individual liberty and economic freedom benefit all Albertans.

He has also witnessed firsthand the impacts of poorly thought-out regulations and economic policy on Albertan’s and the challenges they have posed to communities that have been committed to contributing so much to our provincial and national prosperity.

Having chosen to build his career and family in Fort McMurray, Benjamin combines global business perspective with deep commitment to northern Alberta. His volunteer work emphasizes personal responsibility and community self-reliance—values that define our region.
